Blocking/Dmg Sin Build
ok this is my first year of playing GW, and i have factions... the only character that i have been using so far is the assassin... i have found many good assassin build's out there. But mine is original (i hope) and have not seen ne build like it. Here's the skill list and attribute build:
Dagger Mastery 10-12
Critical 10-12
Deadly Arts 7-8
1. Golden Lotus Strike
2. Golden Pheonix Strike
3. Critical Strike
4. Impale
5. Moebius Strike
6. Blades of Steel
7. Sharpen Daggers
8. Critical Defenses
Explanation: As you can see, this build is revolved around your enchantment spells, which is sharpen daggers and critical defenses. What's good about CD is that the enchantment starts over everytime u land a critical hit. Critical Strike is guarantee'd a critical thus allowing CD to stay on. Golden Lotus if u need energy, Golden Pheonix into Critical Strike to allow CD to stay on. Only weakness about this build is blocking stances or spells that increase blocking/evasion, if you are against those type of players... i suggest aiming a different person. sharpen daggers is there for an extra enchant if critical defenses is still cd'ing. please comment on this plz.

While the damage potential in your build is good, the build itself is rather fragile.
If your target goes down before you can pull off Moebius, you are stuck suffering the recharge of your golden attacks.
If your enchantment is stripped or runs out early or is stripped, you will be unable to use your chain again until Crit Defenses recharges. The exception to this, however, would be if you get enchanted by an ally, but relying on this is a bit weak imo.
I would suggest dropping your first two attacks for either Jagged Strike + Wild Strike or Leaping Mantis Strike + Exhausting Assault for more utility.
Finally, I would suggest replacing Sharpen Daggers. The bleeding may be nice, but the enchantment won't last long on you since it only affects your first 1-8 attacks, therefore not serving as a strong cover enchantment. Consider a self heal or shadow step of some kind. Shadow's Refuge might serve as a good backup enchant if you stick with the golden line, but if you switch, consider Feigned Nutrality, Restful Breeze, or Death's Retreat.

I don't see why you use a Lead Attack if you don't need to.

I prefer my build:
[skill]Siphon Speed[/skill][skill]Expose Defenses[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Moebius Strike[/skill][skill]Critical Strike[/skill][skill]Critical Defenses[/skill][skill]Shadow Refuge[/skill]
Why do I have two hexes? Because originally I had an IAS where Expose was and I was bored and I like finding people with similar builds as me or using Flashing Blades and I pwn them because I have Expose Defenses and its fun
Though you really only need one hex, you could probably exchange it with critical eye or Res sig if you go in the Arenas.
Obviously, the normal counters are there for any defense and an enchantment one.
As you mentioned, if you get blocked, bye bye Crit Defense =\ Another reason for Expose.
(Btw, I run with 37 energy so I usually can get both hexes, BSS and either go with TF or CD for energy)

Wait, but moebius strike recharges all your attack skills as its special ability, but blades of steel requires skills to be recharging for it to work. Bad synergy ftl.

I have adjusted.
my original build was:
1. Golden Lotus Strike
2. Golden Pheonis Strike
3. Critical Strike
4. Impale
5. Moebius Strike
6. Blades of Steel
7. Sharpen Daggers
8. Critical Defenses
From getting replies from you fellas... ive come up with this...
1. Dash
2. Golden Pheonix Strike
3. Nine Tails Strike
4. Impale
5. Moebius Strike
6. Critical Strike
7. Vigorous Spirit
8. Critical Defenses
More well rounded id say, so if i cant block, ill leech life instead, if i can leech, ill block... dash is for kiters... but then again blockers can be an issue... plz give me your advice on this

Hn. You...
...
well.. Hn.
The whole Impale thing throws me off since I just Twisting Fangs. Costs more, but bleeds and deep wounds whereas Impale costs less but just does damage and deep wound. Also no need for an extra skill (i use 4, you have 5, meh who cares lolz.)
If you used Gold Fox Strike you'd get rid of the block, but then again, that's a lead attack o_o
*ponderponder* Do you HAVE to use Impale?
Expose Defenses would make it easier because assuming Phoenix even hits, if they put up a block, though nine tails would cut through, the other skills won't. The reason for the MS + CS chain is to keep up your defenses, and if you're blocked, you're screwed >_o;
Instead of Phoenix, nine tails, and impale, I still would go with Expose --> BSS --> TF and then keep the rest. I just think that's the best solution. You can't be blocked, you're pounding on 3 conditions within two hits (technically 4 since their defense is gone) and if you get to TF and don't have energy for it, easily go to CS instead, then MS, then TF to get the bleeding and deep wound in. Aaannd you got your Defense up since you laid the CS early.
The only unblockable sin attacks are, of course, the fox line xD:
Golden Fox Strike (lead)
Fox Fangs (off hand)
Nine Tails (dual)
or use way of the fox but that's still only 1-5 attacks
and none of them cause bleeding or any condition that would kill them faster.
Blocking is really the only downside as with even 16 att (hope you have a sup vigor on >_>) defenses only lasts 10 seconds and though it seems long, it can go fast when fighting.
Otherwise, i think your build could work o.o i guess i'm more focused on the whole blocking issue since it seems that crit defense is also a big thing about this build (like in mine). If it's a sort of backup thing (like to get out with dash) i guess it wouldn't matter and then the build is fine for damage and energy renewal. But meh x_x; *overthinking*
over course there's the defense strip...but not many people bring disenchantment removals (cept mesmers.) or defense removals (some sins, but not many)
if it works, it works x_X;; how's that as an answer? I just want you to be satisified T-T I'M SORRY ;O;

Laenavesse,
i appreciate you looking at my build... i agree... ive been experiencing more and more with the build... and CD "DOES" end quick but the thing is, i dont activate it until im right up to whoever it is im fighting... DASH up... CD.... then combo away... and yes... ppl who block my first attack can ruin me... and about Expose Defenses... it's a good skill.. but its a waste in this build... cuz there's too much in the build already... if you wanna concentrate on hex's, go with a hex build instead, but this build is based on enchantments... also... i just traded for a new gold dagger, which allows enchants to last 19% longer, and 15% dmg while enchanted... but i have adjusted once again... heres the new build:
1: Dash
2: Golden Lotus Strike
3: Fox Fangs/Wild Strike
4: Critical Strike
5: Impale
6: Moebius Strike
7: Vigorous Spirit/Healing Breeze
8: Critical Defenses
I took Golden Pheonix out because it costs 10 energy to use and CD is long... so with this build... energy wont be an issue due to Golden Lotus Strike and Critical Strike, which allows Critical Defenses to be recharged over and over due to spamming Critical Strike and Moebius Strike... and Wild Strike for those annoying Warrior/Ranger Stances...

Similar build I used forever since I got to the Eternal Grove:
[skill]Critical Defenses[/skill][skill]Golden Phoenix Strike[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][skill]Moebius Strike[/skill][skill]Critical Strike[/skill]
Last three skills are completely optional. Heres a few variations for the final skills:
General PvE, or even PvP:
[skill]Impale[/skill][skill]Shadow Refuge[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Impale can be changed to something else, maybe Dark Escape. Nice for killing off enemies to move on to another.
Hexes are f t w:
[skill]Siphon Speed[/skill][skill]Expose Defenses[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Siphon for an anti kite/snare in one, Expose for people using defensive stances just like you!
Loads of defense and survivability:
[skill]Conviction[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Vital Boon[/skill]
If you have lots of trouble with dying, use something like this. If you still have lots of trouble with dying... Oh well.
Factions only version of the above:
[skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Vigorous Spirit[/skill][skill]Live Vicariously[/skill]
Wammosin for the nightfall impaired. Might work, might not. Never used HB on a sin.
With a pure DPS build such as this, it can be a good idea to load up on nightstalker's insignias, but only do so at the risk of losing extra energy or health.

Moebius/blossom with conjure (or probably even without) outdamages that. Double striking 75% of the time with 17 conjure damage on cruddy autoattacks, or 50% double strike with blossom spam for 45 with the conjure damage on top. If you could take flurry and conjure at the same time, it might be a different story.
Impale is faster than Twisting Fangs without an IAS, and doesn't even require you to be adjacent, which is especially important in a team spike. You can also follow up a high damage dual attack as opposed to needing to hit moebius again.
You need to clarify where you are playing too. Putting effort into critical strike maintenence can be worth it in AB or RA, but having an actual monk on your team should do the job more reliably, because as mentioned melee hate makes the skill very fragile and your bar is pretty restricted as is. Personally in RA I'll just keep losing fast until I get a monk and then go to a quick 10 wins with an aggressive build.

@ Dagger In Da Heart:
Okay, thanks for clearing that up ^^ I thought you were going more with the enchantment line rather than the hex, but I wasn't sure so I went ahead and gave my opinions and whatnot. I'm still iffy about Impale, but all in all, it doesn't look too bad. Only one, ONE other thing I would mention is instead of Golden Lotus, use Golden Fox. That lead attack is unblockable if enchanted. It's a nightfall skill, though.
@ FoxBat:
On your note about monks, you have to remember to not always rely on them because they will be the ones targeted most and might put the sin on the low priority, depending on who else is in the team. Though yeah, in RA, the build will be a bit on the iffy side, tough there is more melee hate there than anywhere else o_O mainly because it's more concentrated (only 4 people and if one team has like 3 anti-melee and the other has 1 melee, you know who will be targeted xD)
I think this build is pretty good for AB at least, and possible TA as you'll have a monk for back up. At least with this build only casting damage will hurt instead of both casting and physical (mostly)

Considering that Assassins generally aren't the last standing, I don't really think it's a bad idea to go without a rez as long as your group is ok with the idea.
